PennDOT will display the plans for the replacement of Burrell Hill Road Bridge from 5 to 7 p.m. June 11 at the Penn Volunteer Fire Department, 610 N. Railroad St.

The project consists of replacing the bridge, which carries Burrell Hill Road over a dual-track, high-speed railroad facility owned by Norfolk Southern Railway Corp.

The proposed structure and roadway will be on a new alignment, about 65 feet west of the existing bridge, which will enable traffic to be maintained on the existing roadway in Jeannette, Penn Borough and Penn Township during work on the replacement bridge.

The meeting will be in an open-house format, with PennDOT officials and project team members available to answer questions and address concerns.
