UNIVERSITY PARK — Plans are in the works to make Beaver Stadium go wireless.

Penn State associate athletic director Greg Myford told The Patriot-News of Harrisburg on Wednesday the school hopes to make the Nittany Lions' home field the largest collegiate venue to be wireless accessible. Fans can download apps and view replays.

Other improvements being planned include new scoreboards, expanded restrooms and concessions stands, and an improved sound system.

A team spokesman told the AP more details will be announced closer to the season. Changes already under way include more restrooms and 101 more seats that comply with the American with Disabilities Act. Each seat would be paired with another seat for a companion.

The ADA seats and restrooms should be ready when the 2011 season kicks off Sept. 3.
