Penn Township Police handled 1,140 complaints in May, according to the department's monthly report.
Police also reported 57 arrests in May. These included four simple assaults, one corruption of a minor, two criminal conspiracies, four criminal mischiefs, two criminal trespassing cases, six disorderly conducts, two incidents of drunken driving, seven drug violations, one case of false identification to law enforcement authorities, two forgeries, two harassments, three cases of institutional vandalism, two arrests for liquor law violations, one case of prohibited weapons, three receiving stolen properties, one retail theft, two terroristic threats, two thefts by unlawful taking or disposition and 10 thefts of services.
The department handled 348 traffic violations. Police traveled 20,922 miles using 1,229 gallons of gas, according to the report.
