Pa. launches country's 1st mobile app for criminal court dockets
Pennsylvania's court system on Tuesday launched the nation's first state-level mobile application for finding criminal court cases.
PAeDocket, available for free in the iTunes store, provides information about charges, court dates, upcoming hearings and up-to-date case statuses on mobile devices similar to the version for desktop browsers.
“Staying competitive by using state-of-the-art technology helps the courts offer easy access to court records – and mobile apps keep us on that cutting edge,” Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin said.
The application currently only works on Apple devices, although a version for Android phones and tablets is in development and should be released later this year.
To download the application, go to the iTunes store and search for “PAeDocket.”
