The Shippensburg Little League had a post of its own noting that Wolfe "has been a big part of the Little League community and he and his family need our support at this time." Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said 59 were killed and hundreds more were injured when Stephen C. Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nev., opened fire on more than 22,000 attending the concert across the street from his room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Paddock apparently killed himself as police used explosives to blast into the hotel room where he had a stockpile of more than 20 guns. The community, located in Franklin and Cumberland counties, held a prayer vigil for Wolfe and his family Monday night at Shippensburg's Doc Norcross Stadium, and established a GoFundMe account for the family's expenses related to the tragedy. The teams and Shippensburg Police all asked for privacy for the family. The Shippensburg Area School District referred questions to the police department, which declined to comment beyond what had been posted to Facebook. Matthew Santoni is a Tribune-Review staff writer.
