The Penn-Trafford High School Music Department will sponsor two competitive band shows Feb. 23 in the high school gym that will feature color guard, baton, dance and percussion units from area high schools, universities and independent groups.

A Tournament of Bands Indoor Association show will begin at 10 a.m., with 44 groups scheduled to perform through about 4:30 p.m. An awards presentation will immediately follow.

Twenty-six groups are expected to take part in a Three Rivers Winter Ensemble Association show, from 5:20 p.m. to 9 p.m. Awards will be presented at 9:10 p.m.

Spectators should enter through Door No. 30, near the middle of the main parking lot, 3381 State Route 130. Admission for each show costs $10 at the door, with discounted rates for students and seniors.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks will be available in the school cafeteria, along with candy grams, a bake sale and a basket auction.
