Personality: Andrew Stockey

News anchor Andrew Stockey has made his home in Pittsburgh since 1995.

The Chicago native made stops at Fox News and ESPN before joining WTAE as the sports director. He offered morning cheer on the 5-to-7 a.m. shift for two years and moved to the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts in September.

Stockey frequently is seen around town hosting charity events, such as the Race for the Cure, United Cerebral Palsy and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

This weekend, you're more likely to see him in line at an area movie theater buying a ticket for "Quantum of Solace." He's a huge James Bond fan.

Stockey took time out of his busy schedule to take the Trib Personality Test.

The star who would play me in the movie version of my life:

Blair Underwood. At least I would like him to play me, because I would love to look as good as he does.

D. Herbal tea

A. I'm saying martini, only because I'm a huge James Bond fan and like my drink shaken, not stirred.

My quirkiest inherited trait:

My mom's desire to always make up the bed first thing in the morning. My wife never makes her bed up, and it drives me crazy.

Pick one:

A. "American Gladiators"

B. WWE

Do I have to• OK, I'll choose B, but I don't like pro wrestling or reality sports.

My favorite sandwiches, plus fixings:

Cheeseburger with tomato, lettuce and BBQ sauce. And don't forget the pickles.

One word my mother would use to describe me:

Stubborn.

Celebrity crush:

Helen Hunt. Fell in love with her character on "Mad About You" and still find her very sexy to this day.

The oldest thing in my refrigerator:

The gallon of BBQ sauce I bought two years ago. I think it's congealed.

My required snack in a movie theater:

Mike and Ike spicy, chewy candies. They always stick to my teeth, and I spend the ride home trying to pick them out.

When I was 10, I wanted to be:

A political cartoonist. (Strange, but true.)

Exercise I hate most:

Physical.

Death ... and roller coasters.

If I were auditioning for "American Idol," my song would be:

The first band I saw in concert:

Squeeze, 1991, at the University of Hartford.

TV marathon I could watch all day and why:

"Mad About You" or "Seinfeld."

A. I have a bichon poodle named "Boobaloo" (yes, that is his name), and he would kill me if I said otherwise.

Skechers black soft-soled comfort-fit shoes. They go with anything.

Pick one:

A. Boxers

B. Briefs

B. They just feel better.

Voted "most likely to succeed" and "best all around," but we could only accept one. I took "best all around," because I didn't want the pressure.

My most recent eBay purchase:

Never bought on eBay.

The movie that always makes me cry:

"The Stand." There's just something about the scene when the good guys find mother Abigail that gets me.

My most treasured fashion accessory is:

Cuff links. I have about 10 pairs, and I love them. It's just a perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

Pick one you love or hate:

My most memorable fashion mistake:

The six-button suit ... and flat-front dress pants.

Pick a Bond:

A. Sean Connery

B. Timothy Dalton

C. Pierce Brosnan

D. Daniel Craig

C. Tough question for me, but I thought Pierce brought out all the characteristics we have come to love about 007. That being said, Daniel Craig is the best to ever have the role.

If I could live my life as someone else, it would be:

Daniel Craig. To be Bond -- or the actor that plays Bond -- has got to be a blast.

My childhood nickname was:

"Andy." I didn't mind, but my parents hated it, so I tell people now that it is always "Andrew."

My favorite "bad" movie is:

"PCU." Jeremy Piven from "Entourage" is the leader in a funny, but stupid and bad, version of "Animal House."

My first job:

Paperboy delivering the Hartford Courant in Simsbury, Conn. Had nothing to do with being a journalist. The money was good.

My worst job:

Host at a restaurant inside an old gristmill. I was just bored beyond belief and spent most nights eating the mints.

Lifetime. Great movies and chick flicks are a guilty pleasure.
