My favorite captain:
A. Kirk
B. Kangaroo
C. Crunch
D. Jack Sparrow
C. When I was growing up, there was not a better cereal on the market than Cap'n Crunch with Berries. That was like the creme-de-la-creme of the cereal aisle. If you had that in the morning, your day went 10 times better. Then, after munching on that, you got to drink the "strawberry milk" left in the bowl. Ha, talk about the breakfast of champions!
Three people I'd love to have dinner with:
1. My father
2. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
3. Barack Obama
My quirkiest inherited trait:
I am a neat freak. Yes, I have accepted the fact that I must have things neat, clean and smelling good. My mom passed it on to me, so it's not really my fault. My friends and family love it. I'll get in their car and start cleaning out the glove compartment or organizing their purse. I need stuff organized and ready to go.
My favorite sandwiches, plus fixings:
A mushroom chicken cheese steak with no onions, oil and vinegar, and light mayo and ketchup from Uncle Sam's hits the spot any time of the day or night. And let's not forget the fries!
One word my mother would use to describe me:
Exuberant.
The oldest thing in my refrigerator is:
The relish. I only use it for deviled eggs.
Exercise I hate most:
Why in the heck are crunches so hard⢠I'd rather walk to Philadelphia than do a hundred crunches.
I'm deathly afraid of:
Small elevators.
If I were auditioning for "American Idol," my song would be:
"And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going."
TV marathon you could watch all day and why:
"Sex and the City" had the best fashion, writing, funny and relatable moments, and girlfriend advice.
I own 96 pairs of shoes. My favorites are:
My Havaianas flip-flops from Jamaica.
In high school, I was:
Very smart, but intimated by the success, homecoming prom queen and stunk at playing basketball. I always fouled out and got called for three seconds.
The movie that always makes me cry:
"Stepmom" (with Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts). Both of my parents got remarried, and I have two stepparents. When I think of the dynamics in real life and see that movie ... wow, baby, it's on point and emotional.
My most treasured fashion accessory:
Hats. I'll love them forever. I think they are fly winter, spring, summer and fall.
What you'll always find in my glove compartment:
Napkins, straws and mouthwash.
My most embarrassing junk food:
White Castle -- yum yum!
The last book I read:
"Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.
My most memorable fashion mistake:
I had just finished painting my bathroom and noticed I was running late for a golf tournament reception. So, I threw on a hot dress and jetted out the door and was voted "best dressed." I later discovered I had paint splotches all in my hair.
My childhood nickname was:
Jaws. My dad named me that because I had the chubbiest cheeks.
My first job:
I worked at a family friend's pizza joint in New York called Garden City Pizza. I started working at, like, 15. I can still make a pizza box faster than anyone I know.
Pick one:
A. Ketchup
B. Mustard
A.
The song that always gets me out on the dance floor and why:
"Before I Let Go" by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. This song reminds me of my club days, when we would dance until 4 in the morning. If you can't feel this song, something is wrong.
I never travel without my:
Oh, my baby blanket. My great-grandmother made it for me when I was born. I don't think I've washed it in, like, 10 years. It's my most valued possession.
People would be surprised to know that I:
Still sleep with my baby blanket under my pillow.
