I continue to be amazed that the retailers in Pittsburgh just don't get it.

People who spend over $27 billion a year on their pets spend money. I am one of those people.

I pamper my Maltese (Laci) and Shih Tzu (Nauni). Nauni is a rescue with health problems and she cannot be left alone.

I like to take both dogs shopping with me in their doggie stroller. They stay in their stroller and are quiet and well behaved and yet I have been asked to leave South Hills Village and Marshall's in Robinson Township.

My solution: I shop at the outlet mall in Grove City. My dogs are welcome in the shops there and I show my appreciation by spending my money there.

Wake up, Pittsburgh retailers.
