Mary Morgan Smith shared tales with a cold-weather theme during a family storytelling program Dec. 29 at the Northland Public Library.

In addition to being a children's librarian at Northland, Morgan Smith is a storyteller and active in the storytelling community.

Among the stories she told were “The Snow Queen with the Cold, Cold Heart,” “The Snooks Family” and “A Whale of a Tale.”

The library offered the program to give children and parents something to do together on a weekday during the winter break from school.
