Members of the Lower Burrell community line up along Leechburg road to pay their respects as fallen New Kensington police Officer Brian Shaw is brought to Rusiewicz Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in Lower Burrell.
A New Kensington police officer hired in June was shot and killed Friday night during a traffic stop in New Kensington.

Brian Shaw, 25, was shot when he pulled over an SUV along Leishman Avenue, according to New Kensington police Chief James Klein. Police are still searching for the suspect.

The community has come forward with support and condolences.
