PIHL set for five outdoor charity games

The PIHL will expand its outdoor charity series to include 10 high school hockey teams playing five games in three nights for charity.

The first game is at 7 p.m. Monday at North Park Ice Rink between neighboring rivals North Allegheny and Pine-Richland. Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

There will be doubleheader, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday at North Park, with Mars meeting Quaker Valley and Shaler playing Central Catholic. Ticket sales will go toward the PIHL Paul Sciullo Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The final games are at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at South Park Ice Rink: Montour vs. Thomas Jefferson and Bethel Park vs. Canon-McMillan. The charity will be the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
