Ping’s G5 Hybrid is part of that company’s very successful G5 series and is being hyped as the first-ever, wood-like hybrid. It has a sloped crown that positions the center of gravity low and back, helping golfers to launch the ball higher and greater control.
The head is compact, making the club playable from all conditions, giving them the best chance to hit long, high, soft-landing approach shots.
The same variable-thickness face geometry used in Ping drivers and fairway woods is found on the hybrids as well. A precision welding process allowed Ping engineers to maximize the positioning of weight to provide the chance for maximum distance and control.
