ALTOONA (Double-A, 35-44) won, 3-1, at home against Birmingham (Mets). Shortstop Luis Cruz went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBI. Right-hander Yoslan Herrera gave up four hits and an unearned run in seven innings for the win.
LYNCHBURG (High-A, 36-47) won, 10-4, at home against Salem (Astros). Jared Keel hit a two-run homer, and Jamie Romak hit an RBI single and a solo homer. Starting left-hander Brian Holliday lasted six innings, giving up three runs off six hits for the win.
HICKORY (Low-A, 35-48) won, 3-2, at home against Columbus (Rays). Right-hander Harrison Bishop gave up four hits and a run in two innings of relief for the win, and left-hander Wanell Macia pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
STATE COLLEGE (Class A-Short Season, 3-12) lost, 7-2, at home against Vermont (Nationals). Starting right-hander Ramon Aguero gave up two earned runs off four hits in 32/3 innings.
GCL PIRATES (GCL, 6-5) won, 7-0, at GCL Orioles. Left-hander Tyler Cox gave up three hits and no runs in four innings of relief for the win.
