Center fielder Andrew McCutchen hit a double and struck out twice. Right-hander Luis Munoz (6-3) allowed four runs on four hits in 22/3 innings.
LYNCHBURG (High-A, 29-31) won, 3-2, at home against Salem (Astros). Left fielder Ulyses Davenport hit a two-run homer and a solo shot. First baseman Jason Delaney went 2 for 3 with a walk. Right-hander Todd Redmond (5-4) surrendered two runs on five hits in 71/3 innings.
HICKORY (Low-A, 19-28) won, 7-1, at home against Asheville (Rockies). Catcher Francis Poni and second baseman Jim Negrych each drove in two runs for the Crawdads. Shortstop Jose De Los Santos had two hits and scored two runs. Right-hander Jared Hughes (5-4) allowed six hits in seven scoreless innings.
