Pirates farm report
A look at how the Pirates’ farm teams fared in games played Monday:
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 73-63) had its game at Richmond (Braves) suspended because of rain, with Richmond leading, 3-1, in the top of the third inning.
ALTOONA (Double-A, 74-59) won, 5-3, at home against Akron (Indians). Right-handed starter Landon Jacobsen (14-8) allowed two earned runs on seven hits over 8 1/3 innings. Center fielder Andrew McCutchen went 2 for 3 with three RBI. Second baseman Javier Guzman went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
LYNCHBURG (High Single-A, 25-38 second half) won, 5-1, at home against Wilmington (Red Sox). Right-handed starter Matt Lorenzo (2-4) allowed no runs on four hits over seven innings. First baseman Steven Pearce went 2 for 3 with a solo home run and two RBI. Center fielder Pedro Powell went 1 for 3 with two runs scored.
HICKORY (Low Single-A, 31-32 second half) had the day off.
WILLIAMSPORT (Single-A short season, 26-39) won, 10-0, at Batavia (Phillies). Right-handed starter Patrick Bresnahan (4-5) allowed no runs on three hits and struck out eight over six innings. Left fielder Alexander Presley went 2 for 5 with a solo home run and two RBI. Center fielder James Barksdale went 3 for 6 with two runs scored.
BRADENTON (Rookie, 27-26) has completed its season.
