A preliminary hearing for Pitt football player Adam Gunn, who was arrested outside a Station Square nightclub early Sunday, was continued to 12:30 p.m. May 21.

Gunn, 22, a Kiski Area graduate, faces misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and failure to disperse and summary offenses for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after an altercation with police officers outside Club Zen.

Gunn, a sixth-year senior linebacker, has been suspended from the Pitt football team pending resolution of the case.

Former Pitt linebacker Austin Ransom also was involved in the incident and faces the same charges, in addition to a felony aggravated assault charge.

Ransom's hearing also was postponed to May 21.
