Pitt’s football schedule includes five national TV games
Pitt announced today its 2009 football schedule, which includes five national television dates and three Friday games.
For the second consecutive year, the Panthers will play West Virginia on the day after Thanksgiving in the annual Backyard Brawl. The 102nd meeting between the rivals will be played Nov. 27 in Morgantown and will be shown on either ABC or ESPN.
Pitt also plays on Friday night Oct. 2 at Louisville on ESPN2 and Oct. 16 at Rutgers on ESPN. Both games have 8 p.m. kickoffs.
Pitt will finish its season Dec. 5 at home against defending Big East champion Cincinnati in a game that will be televised on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
