Add Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt to the list of Panthers with serious injuries after he missed Tuesday's practice for surgery to repair a torn left Achilles' tendon.

It is not yet known whether Wannstedt will coach Pitt (2-4, 0-1) from the sideline or press box Saturday against No. 23 Cincinnati (6-1, 1-1) at Heinz Field.
