3 arrested after attempted North Side home invasion
Pittsburgh police arrested three suspects early Tuesday morning following an attempted home invasion in the North Side.
Residents of the Monterey Street home provided video of three suspects who fled without entering the home, according to a statement from the Department of Public Safety.
Officers apprehended two suspects at different locations before hearing that the third was inside a house in the 1300 block of Sherman Avenue. A SWAT team was called at approximately 1 a.m., according to the release.
After police attempted to make contact, the third suspect came out of the house without incident.
Arrested were Leroy Miller, 18, of Perry North; Ronald Brown, 18 of Munhall; and a 17-year-old juvenile. According to the release, Miller faces charges including robbery, criminal conspiracy, criminal attempt – burglary, and firearms not to be carried without a license. Brown faces charges of robbery, criminal conspiracy, and criminal attempt.
