Authorities make arrests in raids at 2 Pittsburgh clubs
Arrests were made at two Pittsburgh establishments late Thursday during compliance checks by local and state authorities, according to a news release.
At Galaxy Lounge in Homewood, authorities arrested four people for drug possession and found the establishment was unlawfully storing liquor outside the premises.
During a search warrant at Savvy in Perry South, police seized alcohol, money and furniture. Two people were arrested for drug possession and on a bench warrant. Investigators said the club was not licensed.
Police did not identify any of the people who were arrested in a news release.
Code violations existed at both locations.
Several agencies participated in the checks, including the state bureau of liquor control enforcement, Pittsburgh police, state parole agents and county sheriff’s deputies, code and health officials, firefighters and detectives.
