Newsmaker: Daniel Eichinger
Noteworthy: Allegheny County officials this week named Eichinger a winner of the Exemplary Employee Award for his work in the Public Defender’s Office. In addition to his duties in the appeals division, he voluntarily handles preliminary hearings and follows some cases to trial. He also mentors new attorneys in the office. His supervisors nominated him for the award after his recent representation of a client who went to trial on two felony counts of robbery. A jury returned a not-guilty verdict within 15 minutes. Eichinger was presented with a proclamation and a family pool pass for the 2015 season.
