Newsmaker: Dr. J. Anthony Graves
Noteworthy: Graves has been named Milton Hershey School’s 2015 Alumnus of the Year. He was recognized for his commitment to pediatric cancer research and the example of excellence and philanthropy he sets for students. He spoke at the school’s commencement June 14.

Occupation: pediatric cancer researcher at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and assistant professor of pediatrics. Graves has a research laboratory at the hospital, where he focuses on studying mitochondrial physiology in pediatric cancers.
