Pittsburgh Magazine's Best Restaurants Party held Monday
Oh, how our parents would be proud.
Monday, and 2,000 fellow foodies (another sell out) were cleaning their plates during Pittsburgh Magazine's Best Restaurants Party at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, where there was no need to twist any arms as we gladly indulged every one of our guilty pleasures. Indulging in the culinary wizardry from 60 of the top eats in and around our Three Rivers, we did find ourselves pausing for a moment when it dawned on us that bikini season was soon upon us.
Notice I said pause ... not stop.
The award for Best New Restaurant was snagged by Tamari in Lawrenceville, while Matthew Porco of Mio Kitchen &Wine Bar in Aspinwall was sauteed as Chef of the Year. Those responsible for inducing our food coma included Umi, The Hyeholde, Rita's Italian Ice in the South Side, Dinette, Seviche, Franktuary, and The Harris Grill, whose bacon obsession (every Tuesday is Bacon Night!) had the carnivores salivating though vegetarians went screaming for the hills.
