Pittsburgh Materials Technology sold

Thermacore Inc., a Lancaster-based maker of heat management systems, acquired Pittsburgh Materials Technology Inc. for an undisclosed price.

The acquisition gives Thermacore a variety of in-house materials fabrication capabilities and materials expertise, the company said. Jefferson Hills-based Pittsburgh Materials specializes materials for use in the aerospace, military and industrial markets.

The company was founded in 1993 as a spinoff of Westinghouse Electric Corp.
