Pittsburgh trafficker gets two years in prison
A Pittsburgh woman was ordered to serve 24 months in prison followed by three years supervised release for violating federal drug trafficking laws, federal prosecutors said.
Kayla Jefferson, 23, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
Prosecutors said Jefferson helped a co-defendant acquire and distribute more then 40 bricks of heroin. She picked up bricks of heroin, transporting some to another heroin dealer and storing others inside the residence of a co-defendant, prosecutors said. They said Jefferson lied to cover for her co-defendants.
