Player of the year
Adam DiMichele
6-foot-1, Sr., G, Sto-Rox
Notable: Named Pennsylvania Class AA Player of the Year. Led Sto-Rox to the PIAA Class AA title. Scored a career-high 32 points against Beaver Falls in the state semifinals. Finished with 1,295 career points. Penn State defensive back recruit and the WPIAL's all-time passing leader. Associated Press Class A football player of the year.

James Hairston
6-foot-3, Sr., G, Connellsville
Notable: Athletic guard finished 10th in WPIAL history with 2,245 career points. Averaged 27.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists, as Connellsville reached the WPIAL finals for the first time in 24 years. Scored game-high 21 points in WPIAL title loss to Chartiers Valley. Named second-team all-state. Will play at prep school or junior college.
Ben McCauley
6-foot-8, Jr., F, Yough
Notable: Excellent ball-handler and outside shooter for his size, he is one of the top juniors in the state. Averaged 26.7 points and 17 rebounds per game. Scored a career-high 49 points against Keystone Oaks. Has offers from Pitt, North Carolina State and West Virginia. Named first-team all-state. Has scored 1,445 career points.
Akida McLain
6-foot-7, Sr., F, Penn Hills
Notable: Boston College recruit led Penn Hills to its first-ever PIAA Class AAAA basketball title. Averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots while becoming the WPIAL's first Pennsylvania Class AAAA Player of the Year. Played best in the PIAA playoffs, with 19 points and 12 rebounds against Schenley, 21 points and eight blocked shots against Central Catholic and 18 points and 14 rebounds in finals against Parkland.
Darrelle Revis
6-foot-1, Sr., G, Aliquippa
Notable: Averaged 22.8 points for WPIAL Class AA champion Quips. Scored 32 against Shenango and 25 against Freeport in WPIAL playoffs. Named first-team all-state. Two-time first-team all-area selection. Finished with more than 1,000 career points. Will play defensive back at Pitt, where he plans to walk-on the hoop team.

Duane Compo
6-foot-4, Sr., G, Moon
Notable: Versatile swingman led Moon (29-3) to its first WPIAL and PIAA championships. Averaged 18 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Finished with 1,489 career points, as the Tigers snapped Blackhawk's 14-year stranglehold on the section title. Had 17 points and 14 rebounds in state quarterfinal victory over Perry. Named second-team all-state. Weighing Division II offers.
Brian Hindt
6-foot-4, Sr., G, Chartiers Valley
Notable: Averaged 19.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game to guide Chartiers Valley (29-2) to the WPIAL Class AAAA title. Dead-eye outside shooter and underrated defender for Colts. Finished with 1,043 career points. Scored 31 points against George Jr. Republic in PIAA playoffs. Had 40 against Peters Township. Getting some Division II and D-III looks.
Davon Huger
6-foot-7, Sr., F, Sto-Rox
Notable: Outstanding defensive player and rebounder, he was the top inside player for 27-3 PIAA Class AA champion Sto-Rox. Scored 30 points against Northwestern in the state playoffs and 21 points in early-season win against Moon. Named third-team all-state. Finished with 1,346 career points. Leaning toward California or Clarion.
Lance Jeter
6-foot-2, So., G, Beaver Falls
Notable: Smooth guard led Beaver Falls to the WPIAL title game and the PIAA semifinals. Averaged 19.1 points per game, as continues to develop as one of the top state's best underclassmen. Named third-team all-state. Scored 16 points against Sto-Rox in the WPIAL semifinals and 20 vs. Jeannette in the state playoffs.
Dewayne Pettus
6-foot-2, Sr., F, Perry
Notable: High-flying swingman led Perry (24-6) to its second consecutive City League title. Averaged 16.4 points and 11 rebounds. Two-time City League Player of the Year is fun to watch, with a variety of inside or outside moves. Thunderous dunker. Named third-team all-state.
