Playboy is expanding its Internet presence to offer a full digital version of the men's magazine.

Playboy's first online edition will hit the Web Sept. 13, the same day its October print issues hit newstands, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday.

Chief Executive Officer Christie Hefner said the Internet edition is part of her strategy to diversify the company's business.

Readers will be able access the digital Playboy with either single purchases or annual subscriptions.
