Plum’s Fratangelo ousted at Open Juniors

Third-seeded Bjorn Fratangelo of Plum bowed out of the U.S. Open Juniors singles draw, dropping a third-round match to Oliver Golding of Great Britain, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.

Then Friday night, he and his partner lost in the second round of the doubles event, ending his run in Flushing, N.Y.

No. 13 Golding advanced to the semifinals, where he faces 10th-seeded George Morgan of Great Britain.

Fratangelo and partner Alexios Halebian lost to sixth-seeded Hugo Dellien and Diego Hidalgo, 6-4, 6-2.
