Police investigating

local man's death

State police at Uniontown are investigating the death of a Connellsville man late Saturday who apparently got in a fight in Vanderbilt and was dropped off with injuries at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville.

Eric Todd Fetsco, 38, fought with a 36-year-old man who police have not identified at about 11 p.m. at 132 Main St., in Vanderbilt, Fayette County, Trooper John Krause said.

After the fight, Fetsco was taken to Highlands Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Krause said.

The cause and manner of death are still being investigated.

Hunker man

injured in crash

State police at Greensburg said James Massimino of Hunker lost control of his 2001 Oldsmobile Alero on Pleasant Unity Road at 3:05 p.m. Friday, traveling off the roadway and striking a tree.

He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, for treatment.

His condition is not known, police said.

Officers were assisted by Pleasant Unity Volunteer Fire Department.
