With lies and misinformation circulating during this election cycle, I feel it is the duty of every American to learn all they can about the candidates and the issues. We cannot rely on biased news outlets, such as ratings hungry talk radio and television shows to formulate our opinions. Voters must sift through the partisan politics and learn the facts.
We must not be fooled by candidates that use catchy buzz words. “Compassionate Conservatism” is one example being thrown about this election season. What this phrase really means is show the American people compassion during the four-day political convention and the rest of the four-year term in office put big business before America’s families.
Having received my bachelor of science degree in political science, I find it very informative, when researching a presidential candidate, to review how the citizens of the candidate’s home state view the candidate. Being a resident of Massachusetts, I strongly believe the citizens of our great county will be well served by a John Kerry presidency.
In Massachusetts, Sen. Kerry is always working to improve the quality of life for all residents. I believe on Election Day you will see overwhelming support from our state for John Kerry.
John Kerry has the experience, knowledge, integrity and compassion that makes him a tremendous candidate for President of the United States of America.
