It is unfortunate that the kids in Pittsburgh may not have swimming pools open this summer (" No pools for a city swimming in debt ," March 18).

According to the article, the city could open 10 pools for $400,000. I have a suggestion for the source of that money. Let's have Mr. Kevin McClatchy and Mr. Dan Rooney put up $200,000 each for the pools.

This is a very small return of the money given to them to build their new stadiums. They have benefited greatly from the city. It is not unreasonable to expect a favor in return. We were a team when they asked for their stadium money.

Let's see if we are still on the team.
