PPG Industries names five vice presidents
PPG Industries named James V. Latch , Viktor Sekmakas , Jorge A. Steyerthal , Glenn E. Bost II and Reg Norton vice presidents. Latch oversees automotive replacement glass and insurance and services; Sekmakas oversees coatings, and is managing director for Asia/Pacific; Steyerthal oversees coatings and is managing director for Latin America; Bost also serves as associate general counsel; and Norton oversees environment, health and safety.
Banking and Finance
-  Harvest Financial Corp. named   Geoffrey T. Sugden   investment consultant, and   James F. McGinnis   senior investment consultant. Sugden is responsible for executing a strategy customized to an individual's needs based on a wide range of investment options. McGinnis has over 40 years of financial service experience and works closely with individual investors.  
- Parkvale Bank named Tom Bourke Jr. marketing coordinator and Deidre Sledge joined the company as branch manager. Bourke works at the Monroeville headquarters and produces and distributes press releases, coordinates media buys, develops promotional materials, updates the corporate web site, and supports additional sales and marketing efforts. Sledge runs the day-to-day operations of a particular branch while ensuring employees meet the bank's high standards of customer service.
Accounting
John V. Marsh joined Hill, Barth and King as a supervisor. He has a wide range of accounting expertise, including preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, estate, gift, and non-profit tax returns, and auditing of small business and non-profit organizations.

-    Erin J. Wengryn   joined Robb Leonard Mulvihill as an associate. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, extra-contractual insurance litigation, directors' and officers' litigation, fidelity and surety law, and complex insurance coverage and litigation.  
-    Gary S. Regan   joined McGuire Woods LLP as an associate in the Corporate Services department. He focuses his practice on transactional, securities, and general corporate matters.  
- Daniel L. Wessels rejoined Reed Smith LLP as a partner in its Corporate and Securities Practice Group. His primary practice areas are corporate law, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
Advertising and PR
-  Ketchum, Inc. named   Kelley Skoloda   a partner. She handles account management, advises how people are managed and developed, identifies new products and services, provides input on the strategic future of the agency, and ensures growth and profitability. Skoloda is director of the Global Brand Marketing Practice for the firm.  
- FSC Marketing Communications named Ron Kellow vice president, creative director. He oversees the integration and coordination of the agency's 10 practice areas as they relate to client and new business development efforts.
Education
Point Park University named Lynn K. Cummings senior director of development and stewardship. She has experience in development and fundraising.
Healthcare
St. Barnabas Nursing Home Inc. re-elected its board of trustees. They are: chairman, Walter DeForest , partner, DeForest Koscelnik Yokitis & Kaplan; president, Karen Tabacchi , registered nurse, St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, and The Arbors at St. Barnabas; secretary, Kellie Kelly , assistant administrator, St. Barnabas Nursing Home and Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas; and treasurer, Kathryn Turnbull , co-founder, The HDH Group Inc.

Southwinds, Inc. elected Steven B. Silverman president of the board of directors. He is an attorney with Tucker Arensberg, P.C.

-  Hilb Rogal & Hobbs named   Donna Fetzer   assistant vice president. She assumes additional responsibilities for assisting in the P&C structure of one of the company's regions.  
-     Donald Varshine   joined Integrated Global Logistics, LLC, as executive vice president of business development. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Keystone Dedicated Logistics, which he founded.  
-     Diane Rylander   joined Lockheed Martin under the business unit, Maritime Systems and Sensors. She began her first assignment in May at the company's Syracuse, N.Y, facility. 
-  Gannett Fleming named   John W. Kovacs   vice president and regional office manager for the Pittsburgh office. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's Pittsburgh location, including office administration, business development, technical supervision, and management of civil and environmental projects.  
-  The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy named   Karen Crenshaw   director of development. She will be based in company's headquarters in Pittsburgh. 
- GSP Consulting named Cathy Kaplan office manager and internship coordinator, and Tom Beresnyak sales coordinator. Kaplan oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pittsburgh office, facilitates the internship program across the country, handles greeting clients, answers calls, and supports the company's Principals and accounts receivable department. Beresnyak is responsible for coordinating sales information from each of the company's divisions, supporting the firm's business development function and providing research and analysis for account managers and potential clients.
Awards
-    Guy Buzzelli Jr.   was a recipient of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's 2006 Personal Achievement Award for Pennsylvania. He is a sales representative and member of the Pittsburgh Pirates Gold Club, and is the first member to achieve $2 million in career sales and the first to achieve $300,000 in sales in a single season. 
- Dr. Minhnoi Wroble Biglan received the Jack P. Royer Award for Active and Collaborative Learning. She is an assistant professor of psychology at Penn State Beaver. The award recognizes Penn State faculty and staff who are dedicated to teaching, nurturing and emphasizing active and collaborative learning in and out of the classroom.
