Allegheny County election officials on Monday reminded residents they must register by Oct. 6 to vote in the Nov. 4 general election.
Those who moved or changed their names or party affiliations must notify the Elections Division by that date. Voters must be U.S. citizens at least one month before the election and be 18 years old on or before election day.
To register, visit room 609 in the County Office Building, 542 Forbes Ave., Downtown, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The office will remain open until 5 p.m. Oct. 6.
Registration-by-mail forms are available at Armed Service Recruitment Centers, Area Agencies on Aging, post offices and state, county and municipal offices. Forms must be postmarked by Oct. 6.
