Mitch Erdely is a senior quarterback for the Geibel football team that is 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the Tri-County South Conference.

Q: As a senior could this season be any more frustrating for you?

A: Well it is frustrating in the fact that some kids have gotten injured, especially some key starters, but you have to push through and hopefully things will get better.

Q: What were emotions like after losing to West Greene on a kickoff return?

A: I think everybody was in disbelief. It was almost like it didn't happen. Everybody was so excited that we made the field goal to take the lead, then just so disappointed that they returned the kick to win.

Q: Is it surprising that colleges are looking at you considering the school has only won one game in the last two seasons?

A: No because the colleges we have talked to know that we don't have a very good team, but they tell us that they don't look at how the team's doing. They look at individual ability and that's how they judge people.

Q: Do you ever get to the point where you think of your future instead of team success?

A: You just have to go out there and play hard even if the team isn't doing well. You have to go out there and do your best and think of the team first.

Q: What do you do to take your mind off the team's on-field failures?

A: It's hard but you've just got to try to block it out and try to think about the next game. You have to think that, at some time, you're going to play well, then I have to play well then, hopefully, I will get to go somewhere for college and get to go there and play.

Q: What do you do for fun?

A: I like to listen to music, hang out with my friends, play PlayStation and anything that will keep me active.

Q: What kind of music?

A: I like to listen to a lot of different stuff in the locker room because different kids pick the music every week, I listen to anything that is loud and gets you pumped up.

Q: What music would you pick?

A: I'd probably pick rap or hard rock. For rap its the beat that gets you going and rock, its the guitars that get your adrenaline pumping.
