Britain's Queen Elizabeth told her 56-year-old son, Charles, he will not sleep with his fiancée before marrying April 8, and nixed a lavish party afterwards.

The same-bedroom ban for April 7 and toned-down party plans were reported Wednesday by the Sun, which said Elizabeth also forbade Prince Charles from serving organic vegetables grown at his Highgrove estate.

Charles had reportedly been hoping to host an all-out party for his celebrity friends at Windsor Castle after the civil ceremony to his companion of 34 years, Camilla Parker Bowles, but a spokesman for the queen said there was concern over public perception.

"She believes it would be inappropriate to have an over-the-top celebration," the spokesman said. "The reception will still be lavish by normal standards, but the queen does not want it to be turned into a jamboree."
