Howard Hanna Real Estate Services hired as sales associates Jordann Friedman in Squirrel Hill, Craig Melichar in Franklin Park, George Poelcher Jr . in the Center Township office in Beaver, and Dorothy Gasper in Seven Fields. Friedman worked the past eight years as general manager of a family-owned business. Melichar worked eight years as an architectural project designer for two Pittsburgh firms. Poelcher was a sales supervisor for Telespection Worldwide, and Gasper comes from Northwood Realty.
Prudential Preferred Realty named Janet Daniele , an associate broker, manager of the Peters Township office. Daniele began in the real estate industry in 1987 and before Prudential worked 10 years' with Howard Hanna Simon Real Estate Services in Rostraver Township. Prudential Preferred also hired as sales associates Lynn Schrum in Beaver, Thomas Wright in Butler, LeSans Montgomery and Sarah Kegarise in the Pittsburgh office, Richard Rocca in Fox Chapel, Dawn Elliott and Karen Henry in Greensburg, Timothy Feng in Hampton, Janeen Horvath in Monroeville, Terri Sweeney in the North Hills, Joshua Andrykovitch in North Huntingdon Township and Michael Blizzard in Peters Township.
Northwood Realty Services hired as sales agents Kathie Benish in the Airport/West Suburban office, Nathan and Brandi Miller in Cranberry, Nikki Woolslare in Cranberry West, Lureen Nelson and Thomas Sarp in Latrobe, Jim Andrew in Pleasant Hills, Joyce Miller in Peters Township and Ruth Ann Cleveland in Washington.

WTW Architects of Pittsburgh hired Susan McCullum and Joseph German . McCullum was a project architect for Perkins Eastman Architects in Pittsburgh and a team architect for the SmithGroup Inc. in Washington, D.C. German worked for architectural firms locally and in Chicago. While at L.D. Astorino, German was the lead project designer for the Port Authority's First Avenue Light Rail Station.
Astorino appointed Robert E. Beckjord as principal and senior vice president of architecture. He has more than 28 years' experience in architectural design and will oversee the design department including architecture, site design/landscape, visual communications and commercial interiors.
Awards/certifications
Renaissance 3 Architects employee Rebecca L. Leet passed the architectural registration examination and employee Susan H. Gordon , a project architect/historic preservation specialist, received a master's degree in historic preservation planning from Cornell University.
Other
Nello Construction Co. of Canonsburg hired Robert L. Swearingen as a senior estimator. Before Nello, he was employed by Marsico Corp. as a senior estimator assigned to projects like the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe 1 and Southpointe 2. He holds an associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University.
Paul Bates , president and chief executive officer of Corporate Accommodations Inc. of Pittsburgh, was appointed an executive board member to the Corporate Housing Providers Association, an international trade organization. Bates has been active in the organization five years.
Harchuck Construction Co. Inc. of Apollo hired Dennis Becker as project manager. Becker has more than 30 years' experience in project and construction management.
