60-year-old man dead after car crashes into Fayette creek
A car crashed into a Fayette County creek Thursday afternoon, claiming the life of a 60-year-old motorist.
Frank Dodson was taken from the scene in Georges Township to the Uniontown Hospital emergency room, where he was pronounced dead at 5:17 p.m., according to Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip E. Reilly.
The victim’s hometown wasn’t available. An autopsy is planned.
State police said alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash, which happened at about 4:20 p.m. on Weaver Mill Road, near Conn Road. Dodson was driving the vehicle when it left the road, went over an embankment and rolled into Ruble Run Creek, police said.
A passenger suffered moderate injuries and also was taken to the hospital, police said.
