Student registration for the 2008-09 school year at Connellsville Area Junior High West will be held July 30 and 31 and for Connellsville Area Junior High East will be held Aug. 11 and 12.
For Junior High West, call 724-628-4497 for an appointment. For Junior High East, call 724-628-8910 for an appointment.
Hours of registration are from 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. for West and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. for East.
No students will be registered unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. All new students must register before the first day of school.
Please bring the following information with you when registering: name, address and phone number of previous school, most recent report card, immunization record, proof of residency (for example, a utility bill with your address on it). Students must have the proper immunizations to be registered.

Summer lunch menu
for Connellsville released
The Connellsville Area School District is offering its summer food service program at no cost to the district or participants. All children ages 18 and younger are eligible for a free lunch regardless of family size or income. No registration is necessary.
The program runs now through Aug. 1. The school district offers this program at five sites: Bullskin Elementary, Dunbar Township Elementary, South Side Elementary, Springfield Elementary and Zachariah Connell Elementary schools. Meals will be served at all sites from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

= Monday: Chicken nuggets, roll, whipped potatoes, gravy, green beans, fruit.
= Tuesday: Super taco, corn, fruited Jell-O, chocolate cake with fluffy icing.
= Wednesday: Hamburger or cheeseburger on bun, potato rounds, applesauce, Rice Krispies treat.
= Thursday: Fish, roll, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, apple.
= Friday: Pizza, salad, pineapple tidbits.
