The Lions Square concert which was cancelled Sunday will be held July 27 at Lions Square in Connellsville. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. Local band Punch will provide music.
Nicholson bike run
set for Saturday
In honor of Scott Nicholson, who passed away April 11, 2007, the second annual Nicholson Cancer Fund Bike Run and Dinner is being held Saturday. Five hundred tickets were sold with all the proceeds being used to help local cancer patients.
To date, the Nicholson Cancer Fund Inc. has been able to help 16 families in the area.
This year the bike run will be traveling through Connellsville at approximately 2:45 p.m. It will be coming down West Side Hill, past Wendy's, over the Crawford Avenue Bridge, and turning right at City Auto. More than 200 bikes are expected to stretch for two miles.
