Review: 'American Idols' give amazing live performance

The Top 10 performers from America's top show gave audiences on Saturday an amazing live version of what they did on television for months.

The favorites from the megahit Fox show "American Idol" came to Mellon Arena, Uptown, to perform several songs each for a packed crowd. The performers on the "American Idols Live Tour 2009" were the winner Kris Allen, who gave the finale performance, along with the other nine: Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre. The hard-rocking Lambert seemed to earn the loudest applause.

Each of the Idols gave great stand-alone performances,and participated in group numbers. The strong camaraderie among the former competitors was obvious, and they all seemed to function as a supportive and close family. At the end of the evening, the Idols closed the concert with a fun, all-cast rendition of the Beatles' "Hey Jude."
