A Shadyside business owner is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who stole thousands of dollars of eyeglasses this weekend.

A man walked into the Eyetique optical store on Walnut Street on Saturday afternoon and within minutes ran out with about a dozen eyeglass frames, police said.

The frames are worth between $400 and $4,000 each, store owner Brad Childs said. Childs is offering a $500 reward for information.

Workers said the man was not armed and by the time they realized what he was doing, he ran from the store.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Pittsburgh Police robbery squad detectives at 412-323-7151.
