U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice began a weekend of talks on Iran's nuclear program and other Middle East issues Friday.

She met first with French President Jacques Chirac in Paris before heading to Moscow where she is to meet with President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, the BBC said.

Then, it's on to London for talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Minister Jack Straw.

The United States has accused Iran of secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran vehemently denies.

Negotiations between Iran and three European powers -- Britain, France and Germany -- remain deadlocked.
