A robber made off with an unknown amount of cash Friday night at the Valley Dairy in Eastgate Plaza, Hempfield Township, according to police radio transmissions.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m., according to police radio transmissions.

An alert broadcast shortly after the robbery described the thief as being a white male, in his 20s, who was wearing a camouflage mask and carrying a handgun. He also was wearing a dark-colored zipper-front hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

After getting money from the cash register, the robber left the restaurant through a back door, according to the police radio broadcast.
