Roscoe police seeking information about area woman
Police want to talk to anyone who may have seen Lisa Welsh in the evening of Tuesday, May 15 or the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 16.
Welsh, 35, of Roscoe, died Monday, May 21, in Mercy Hospital. An autopsy is being conducted by the Allegheny County Coroner’s office.
According to Mark Stewart, officer-in-charge at the Roscoe Elco Stockdale Allenport Regional Police Department, Welsh was seen walking incoherently early on May 16. Community Ambulance Service was called and found her, and in turn called RESA police. Her husband, S. John Welsh, came and took her home, police said.
Three days later, he called for an ambulance because her condition had not improved. Welsh was taken to Mon Valley Hospital and eventually transferred to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
A spokesperson for the Allegheny County Coroner’s office said the cause of death is pending completion of the police investigation.
