Rostraver police are investigating a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Todd Manor that took place sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Police received five reports of items stolen.

Among the missing items are a laptop computer, a knife and rangefinder that were taken from separate vehicles parked on Mildred Road.

A vehicle parked on Kenneth Road had an iPod and loose change taken from it, and a knife and shotgun shells were stolen from two vehicles parked along Todd Farm Road.

Police did recover a black bag containing clothing and a gold ring that was not reported stolen from a yard along Alpine Circle. Anyone missing these items can claim them by contacting police and giving a description, police said.

Numerous DVDs were recovered that also have not been reported stolen, police added.

Police said they do have suspects in the theft and they are continuing to investigate. The two suspects are described as white males in their mid-20s. One is approximately 5-10 with a medium build, dark hair and weighing approximately 180 pounds. The second is believed to have dark hair and was wearing dark-rimmed glasses, police said.

The vehicle the suspects allegedly used has been located but is no longer being driven by the suspects, police said.

Rostraver residents are encouraged to keep their vehicles locked and to report suspicious persons or vehicles to police by calling 911.

Rostraver man sought for thefts

An arrest warrant has been issued for Steven R. Manack, 23, of Ridge Road, Rostraver, and police are asking for the public's help in locating him.

Manack has been charged with 13 counts each of forgery, access device fraud and identity theft and a single count of theft by unlawful taking.

Police said Manack allegedly stole several checks from his grandparents' business, M&G Enterprises, and forged their signatures. Police said he used the money to support a drug habit.

The checks totaled $7,210, police said.

Anyone with knowledge of Manack's whereabouts is asked to contact local or Rostraver police through 911.
