Candace Futrell scored 22 points but it wasn’t enough, as Duquesne lost to George Washington, 63-59, on Friday before 1,012 fans at the Smith Center in Washington, D.C. Beth Friday added 14 points in the loss. Cathy Joens and Erica Lawrence scored 13 points apiece for undefeated George Washington (16-6, 11-0).

Carnegie Mellon 59, New York University 55 – Michelle Sodini scored a game-high 22 points for Carnegie Mellon (13-8, 3-7).

Bowie State 83, Pitt-Johnstown 75 – Keisha Todd scored 22 points and Allyson Hardy 21 to lead Bowie State (10-11) to victory. Mona-Gail Baker added 15 and Asia Haney 10. Lindsay Baker scored 30 points to lead Pitt-Johnstown (13-9).

West Liberty State 71, Concord 57 – Kelly West scored 16 points to lead West Liberty State (18-2, 11-1) to a victory. Renee Cagnier grabbed 10 rebounds and scored 15 points for Concord (8-8, 4-4).

Houghton 57, Point Park 45 – Alicia Mucher scored 14 points to lead Houghton (11-10, 7-9).

St. Vincent 72, Roberts Wesleyan 67 – Kelly Morda scored 22 points to lead St. Vincent (16-8, 13-4) to a victory.

District men

St. Vincent 89, Roberts Wesleyan 81 – Dartona Washam scored 39 points as St. Vincent (15-7, 11-4) edged Roberts Wesleyan. Kennon Roberts and Chad Dickman added 13 points each. Joe Rebisz led Roberts Wesleyan (17-12, 8-7) with 32 points and 18 boards.

New York 68, Carnegie Mellon 60 – Brian Beggans scored 18 points and Jeff Gilkerson 14 as New York (13,8, 6-4) defeated Carnegie Mellon (7-14, 1-9). Carnegie Mellon’s Nick Miller led all scorers with 23 points.

Concord 83, West Liberty State 71 – Brian Atkins scored 25 points to lead Concord Brice Mills grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 22 points to lead West Liberty State.

Point Park 74, Houghton 51 – Demitar Simovski scored 20 points as Point Park (14-8, 9-6) downed Houghton (5-17, 1-13). Marco Sanders grabbed 16 rebounds and scored 15 points, while Khalid Loda grabbed 10 rebounds and scored 13 points.
