Greensburg Central Catholic 73, Jeannette 14 — After Jeannette (2-8, 1-6) went up 6-2 early, Greensburg Central Catholic (10-4, 6-0) went on a 43-0 run through the third quarter to win a Section 2-AA game. The Centurions’ Arlene Mull led all scorers with 15 points. Hempfield Area 52, Greater Latrobe 30 — The Wanichko sisters, Sam (12) and Shannon (6), combined for 18 points to lead Hempfield (11-3, 7-0) past Latrobe in a Section1-AAAA. The Spartans’ Allison Truxal chipped in seven points. Carmichaels 64, Jefferson-Morgan 35 — Carmichaels had two players record career highs as Meghan Wood netted 26 points and Christina Antonelli scored 19 points in a victory over Jefferson-Morgan in a Section 2-A game. The Mikes’ Jessica McMinn contributed 6 points. Belle Veron Area 34, McGuffey 18 — Maggie Monahan recorded 12 points as Belle Vernon defeated McGuffey in a Section 3-AAA. The Leopards’ Jeanine Mizikar and Corey Baron combined to bring down 20 rebounds. Norwin 52, Penn-Trafford 37 — Pam DeGuffew netted four field goals and was four for four from the line as Norwin surpassed Penn-Trafford in a Section 1-AAAA game. Greensburg Salem 49, Franklin Regional 44 — Laura Klemchok scored 17 points as Greensburg Salem edged past Franklin Regiona in a Section 1-AAAA game. The Golden Lions’ Shenell Morris added 10 points. Geibel 40, California 32 — Abbie Renze netted 15 points as Geibel moved past California in Section 2-A. The Gators’ Julie Wisilosky chipped in nine points. Clairton 69, Monessen 68 — Kamela Gissandanner had a game-high 35 points as Clairton sqeaked past Monessen in a Section 3-A game. The Bears’ Stanisha Jackson scored 9 points. Ringgold 60, Peters Township 58 — Brittany Warren had a team-high 20 points as Ringgold clipped Peters Township in a Section 2-AAAA game. The Rams’ Stephanie Kuhn (15) and Renee Dunseath (13) combined for 28 points. Mt. Pleasant Area 45, Southmoreland 30 — Ashley Felker scored a game-high 12 points as Mt. Pleasant rolled over Southmoreland in a Section 3-AAA game. The Vikings’ Lisa Gorecki recorded seven points. Boys basketball East Allegheny 48, Elizabeth Forward 45 — A.J. Stanonik netted 12 points as East Allegheny nipped Elizabeth Forward in a Section 4-AAA game. The Wildcats’ Tim Martz contributed 11 points. Laurel Valley 81, Northern Cambria 64 — Justin Dickert scored a game-high 29 points as Laurel Valley defeated Northern Cambria in a District 6 Heritage Conference game. The Mounties’ Jeff Sisitki scored a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Wrestling Mt. Pleasant 57, Southmoreland 21 — Zach Holt, Lee Vanella, Joe Geary, Donnie Ament, Matt Neal, Victor McCoy all scored pinfalls as Mt. Pleasant scored a victory over Southmoreland in a Section 1-AA match. The Vikings’ Dale Rimel scored a decision victory.
