Roundup: SHS wrestlers dump Riverview

Meghan Barry scored 14 points while Kristin Hozak and Julie Wisilosky each chipped in eight as the Geibel girls basketball team knocked off host West Greene. The win was the Lady Gators’ fifth in a row.

Kristen Martin and Mary Martin each netted 10 for the Lady Pioneers.

Geibel (9-8) will visit Jefferson-Morgan on Friday night.

The Southmoreland wrestling team came up big on the road as Ryan Negri (125), Josh Peterson (145), Steve Sekeres (152) and Justin Poole (heavyweight) each picked up a pin.

Jeff Ansell (160) and Shane Datz (189) each picked up a win on a decision.

Justin Mitrisin (103), Ricky Fosbrink (130), Dan Fosbrink (140) and Steve Zubach (171) each received a forfeit.

Southmoreland (5-3, 5-5) will host Jeannette on Friday.
