Route 28 closed in Armstrong for 3 weeks

Route 28 is closed in both directions between Hoover Road and Baum Pump Station Road in Boggs Township, Armstrong County due to a landslide.

The road is expected to be closed for three weeks.

It is an anticipated reopening by the end of the day on June 21.

A posted detour is in place. Traffic will be taken off Route 28 in West Kittanning to Route 268, to Route 68, to Route 861, to Route 66, and back to Route 28.

Motorists are advised to give themselves extra time for their travels.
